Additional Information:

Elements of a Kings Mini Treasure may consist of hiking, swimming, wading pools, scrambling over rocks, and an optional short rappel. Hiking may be from 10 minutes to up to 45 minutes one way to access the streams and rappel point. Normally there is some sort of natural rock slide to begin the water portion of the tour, there are pools to swim across and then some wading in knee deep or deeper water to the next pool or rappel.

Rappelling for youngsters is a great way to introduce concepts of leadership, develop family support and communication, bolster a natural sense of self reliance and develop self esteem. Youngsters as young as 6 have been able to learn how to rappel with the assistance of a guide.

Age appropriateness is 9 years old. However all trips need to be discussed with a canyoneering guide to assist parents in deciding if a Kings Mini Treasure trip is appropriate for their family or group.

Trip difficulty is a 2 - 3 (beginner to intermediate) on a 1-10 scale.

This trip meets at the Boyden Cavern parking lot at 7:30 am. All gear is supplied, however you will need to bring day back packs, water and lunch or plenty of snacks.
